Cognitive Hypnotherapy for Panic Attacks

Panic attacks can be terrifying and debilitating, but they don't have to control your life.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy can successfully address the underlying causes of your panic attacks.

Since 2011, I have been a member of the Quest Institute Research Team using outcome measures that are standard within the NHS to evaluate the effectiveness of Cognitive Hypnotherapy compared to other talk therapies such as CBT.
The pilot study demonstrated our effectiveness (71%) for treatment of anxiety and depression is greater, compared with other talk therapies such as CBT (42%) used within the NHS.
My gentle and relaxing sessions are designed to help you take control of negative thoughts and emotions, break free from the cycle of fear and anxiety, and achieve lasting change.

If you're looking here, you're probably one of the 10% of the population who is estimated to experience a panic attack in their lifetime.

Is your life shrinking because you're finding it impossible to avoid the people, places and things that make another Panic Attack more likely?

What are your triggers? It's often when trapped and can't escape - on a train, plane or in a car. Restaurants and supermarkets are other common places, where surrounded by many other people and too far from the exit.

Do you spend most of your time focusing on your body, looking for any sign that might suggest you're about to have another attack?

There are many reasons why Panic Attacks begin, some are a response to trauma but often it's initially overwhelming stress and anxiety. The rush of intense emotions and feelings experienced during a Panic Attack are so traumatic that once you've had one, all of your attention becomes focused on avoiding it every happening again. However the fear caused by constantly worrying about avoiding the next one is going to be the most likely cause of the next one.
